Two- year partnership with Dark Horse comics to create player-specific Portland Timbers and Thorns superheroes in recognition of National Superhero Day. To expand the content offering, unique origin stories were written for each player, detailing the genesis of their individual “super-powers.” The custom designs included a consumer product integration, with various SKUs sold across the clubs’ retail channels. Top selling product line for the calendar year.


Special collaboration with local fashion company Wildfang. Featuring a limited-edition five-product offering, the collection celebrated the values of unity, inclusiveness and equality. Plus, a portion of the proceeds went to New Avenues for Youth, a NPO dedicated to ending youth homelessness.

PORTLAND TIMBERS 2011 (INAUGURAL) JERSEY LAUNCH

“The Runway on the Runway” – the official unveiling of the Timbers inaugural MLS kit collection. In partnership with jersey partner Alaska Airlines, the event was held in a 64,000-square-foot hangar at Portland International Airport. Timbers players and Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air employees revealed the looks in front of ~1,000 fans, via a custom-designed (decal) Boeing 737-700.


Official release of the Thorns primary and secondary jerseys/kits. Navigated COVID-era restrictions to generate the most successful jersey launch in club history, eclipsing all core metrics (revenue, engagement, earned media) from previous retail drops.
